Compressed Air Technical Services Manager
Location of this position is open to any of our branch locations or remotely for the right individual.

Summary of Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the Compressed Air Technical Services Manager are to perform and assist in the specification, design, analysis, and quoting of compressed air systems, components, and piping. Includes, Compressors, blowers, dryers, drain management, piping systems, as well as all other associated pneumatic components. Fulfill the role of Product Manager for all DFP compressed air suppliers and DFP developed systems and services.

Job Duties:
  • Coordinate efforts of DFP Sales and Service Team to provide technical support for all compressed air applications.
  • Design systems, specify equipment and components, system layout, line sizing, etc.
  • Perform compressed air systems analysis and make suggestions for upgrades.
  • Assist in product and technical training for DFP customers and personnel on compressed air products.
  • Oversee the development and promotion of DFP airCARE Insight analysis services.
  • Attend Factory sales and service training as needed.
  • Collaborate with sales to meet customer expectations; including joint visit, prompt quoting, detailed proposals and reports, negotiation with customer on finalize engineering project specifications, while meeting corporate objectives and customer service expectations.
  • Coordinate with corporate purchasing to ensure the proper inventory levels; negotiate with vendors for special purchase agreements (SPA) to get the best business deals.
  • Work closely with Corporate on evaluation and development of Core Manufactures/Vendors relationships to ensure DFP and division are working toward same goals.
  • Communicate with senior management for Division level needs on tools, equipment, manpower and inventory.
  • Communicate with senior management on sales forecast and project pipeline of active opportunities.
  • Meet with Corporate as deemed necessary to stay relevant to company initiatives.
  • Any other duties assigned by Senior Management.
Qualifications:
  • Extensive Compressed air and/or Pneumatic background
  • Autocad or Solidworks experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of electrical and electronic systems related to compressed air equipment

Service Technician
Summary of Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities for the Service Technician is to provide service to Dakota Fluid Power customers in repairs, maintenance of vehicles, repairs, maintenance, refurbishing or rebuilding of equipment of products. The Service Technician must always exhibit positive and effective interaction with all DFP customers, associates and vendors.

Job Duties:
  • Commit and uphold the Dakota Fluid Power safety commitment in all actions and communications as it applies in our safety manuals and procedures.
  • Create and maintain accurate service and repair documents for all work to be performed.
  • Use and understand all documents, forms and procedures as they apply.
  • Diagnose issues with hydraulic, electrical, mechanical and compressed air systems.

Account Manager (Iowa Territory) - OEM Division
This position's territory will be in Iowa and does not require residence in Sioux Falls, SD.

Summary of Responsibilities:
The Account Manager is responsible for sales and margin growth as-well-as market penetration and market growth. Accountable for retention, development, customer satisfaction of both existing and new accounts, and for area coverage in a Iowa.

Job Duties:
  • Increase sales of components, systems, and service capabilities within target accounts.
  • Identify and develop new markets and customers.
  • Must maintain good working relationship with Engineering, Purchasing, Management, and all aspects of the Customer.
  • Follow the DFP Professional Sales Growth Program and apply the sales strategy for continued growth.
  • Utilize the 5 stages of the sales process methodology to prospect, qualify, propose product/service plan, facilitate positive decisions, gain new accounts, and expand current accounts within the specified territory.

Assembly Technician - OEM Division
Summary of Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility for the Assembly Technician is to build required components while maintaining quality integrity of product. Work well in a team environment while assisting others for the benefit of DFP customers.

Job Duties:
  • Precisely build electrical control panels and wire harnesses and hydraulic assemblies with an emphasis on quality.
  • Read and interpret build documentation, testing procedures and wiring diagrams.
  • Assist integrators in updating build documentation, testing procedures and wiring diagrams.
  • Use hand tools to perform operations such as cutting, crimping, soldering and assembling.
  • Exhibit strong mechanical skills.
  • Assist in inventory cycle count and inventory accuracy.
  • Verify correct materials and quantities are called out on production orders.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Customer Service Representative Support
Summary of Responsibilities/Duties:
The primary responsibility of the Customer Service Representative Support individual is to provide timely and professional customer service to Dakota Fluid Power customers, while supporting DFP Sales through effective communication, excellent organization and time management skills.

Job Duties Include:
  • Data entry of customer orders, conversion of quotes into orders and billing utilizing the Electronic Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  • Work closely with purchasing to complete stocking and special orders to consolidate purchases and shipping.
  • Monitor and verify that purchase orders are confirmed for delivery; record information into the ERP system.
  • Acknowledge and confirm to customer and vendor that orders are placed.
  • Utilize open order reports to monitor and follow-up on customer orders.
  • Verify customer pricing based on quotes and customer history; request customer purchase order adjustments and authorization as needed prior to processing order.
  • Assist Customer Service Representative (CSR) in process improvements and participate in ongoing training classes.
  • Correspond with customers and vendors regarding open orders, account information, invoices and assist with customer/vendor complaint resolution.
  • Support Service and Sales Department as needed to ensure excellent customer service levels and productivity levels.
  • Answer overflow call volume for CSR from all company locations to ensure all customers are assisted.

Service Manager
Summary of Responsibilities/Duties:
Supervise the day to day activities of the Service Department. Provide direction to the Service Department personnel to promote the department's growth and development while maintaining profitability and expense levels.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Monitor schedule and dispatch work orders.
  • Primary contact for all service related phone calls.
  • Provide technical support for service related items from walk-in customers.
  • Quote in-house repairs, and upon approval, purchase the necessary repair parts or replacement components and reschedule assembly time.
  • Perform shop labor estimates.
  • Bill out shop labor estimates.
  • Maintain quality control and professional appearance of all shop service work.

Midway Machining
CNC Machinist
Summary of Responsibilities/Duties:
This position is accountable for set-up and operation of production equipment to produce high quality product in a timely manner that meets customer requirements.

Qualifications:
  • Two year degree in Machine Tool Technology and two years machine experience or equivalent machine experience in metal machining processes preferred but not required.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, manlifts and other hoists preferred.
  • Knowledge of and ability to program and edit CNC programs for all machining operations using the best sequence in order to minimize setup time and optimize quality run time.
  • Skilled in using boring head/bar, drills and reamers for holes, end mills, face/shell mills for milling, taps and dies for cut threads, counterbores and countersinks for boltheads, radial saw cutters for slotting and carbide v. high speed cutting tools.
  • Skilled in setup and use of manual mills (horizontal and vertical), boring mills, standard/turret/heavy lathes, radial drills and cutoff/band saws.
