Successful Industrial Energy Conservation Seminar

1/10/2019
Dakota Fluid Power recently put on a training seminar on Industrial Energy Conservation. This event was hosted at Southeast Technical Institute in Sioux Falls, SD on December 19, 2018.

The Industrial Energy Conservation Seminar featured three keynote speakers:
  • Joe Ghislain, Principal of Ghislain Operational Efficiency
  • Leslie Marshall, Corporate Energy Engineering Lead at General Mills, Inc.
  • Tom Blansett, CFPS, CFPPS, CFPHS, CPFCC, CFPAI, Technical Director at International Fluid Power Society
With years of experience in the industry, these speakers discussed how to improve profitability in your business by reducing your energy cost, optimizing your current hydraulic and compressed air equipment, or making better decisions for future expansion of your current operations or new facilities. Also, highlighting on common wastes and inefficiencies, how the old “Rule of Thumb” may be outdated and how technology has evolved and standard practices have not.

See what one of the attendees had to say about the seminar:
“Current market forces are driving our firm to look at reducing our operating costs to help maintain and grow profitability. I was amazed to learn the true costs associated with using compressed air, something which is traditionally thought as being free” – Sam Hummel

A big thank you to all that attended the 2018 Industrial Energy Conservation Seminar! Be sure to stay tuned for details on the 2019 seminar.
