Hydraulic System Designer
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Hydraulic System Designer is responsibility for developing application solutions, supporting the mobile and industrial markets. Working within a team environment (customers, sales, other technical support personnel), this position performs and assists in the specification, design, quote, and build of fluid power systems and components including hydraulic power units, custom valve manifolds and assemblies, and related equipment. Responsible for developing and creating of 2D and 3D drawings.

JOB DUTIES:
  • Design and review weldments, reservoirs, and skids utilizing SoldWorks or CAD software.
  • Design and generation of schematic, layout drawings, bill of materials and custom products.
  • Generating, compiling, and maintenance of build instructions.
  • Fabrication of prototype hydraulic power units and first article assemblies.
  • Assist in taking prototype concepts to production with production personnel supporting build requirements.
  • Work with application sales, electrical system designers, and production personnel to develop solutions for customer and assist customer support when required.
  • Assist and sponsor the development of DFP product lines and systems.
  • Perform research and development tasks and diagnostic testing of components and systems.
  • Determine system design, component sizing, selection and costing.
  • Perform systems analysis and make suggestions for upgrades or modifications.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Fluid Power Background in Mobile or Industrial Hydraulics, Fluid Power Certification Preferred; Experience with Electro Hydraulic & Proportional Systems; Experience with Filtration Technologies; Experience with Fluid Power Distribution Preferred; Motivated to stay Updated with Latest in Hydraulic System Design Concepts; Excellent Communication Skills (Written & Verbal); Highly Motivated Self Starter; Ability to Manage Multiple Priorities; 2D and 3D experience is required.
