Sioux Falls Positions Accounts Payable

The primary responsibility for the Accounts Payable position is to assist in the efficient operations of the A/P department and to facilitate prompt and accurate accounting practices. Exemplify DFP standards through excellent communication and customer service for both internal staff and outside vendors.

• Review vendor statements for accuracy and compare to unpaid invoices.
• Prepare and print A/P checks.
• Maintain vendor files.
• Prepare financial documents for storage.
• Filing; packing lists; paid and unpaid invoices.
• Sort, stuff and mail A/P checks.
• Issue purchase orders for non-inventory purchases.
• Convert purchase orders to vouchers.
• Provide administrative support in order to ensure effective and efficient office operations.
• Assist with other departmental tasks such as mailing customer invoices and statements.
• Cross train in all A/P functions.
• Other duties as assigned by Management.

2-Year Accounting Degree or Experience; Experienced with Microsoft Outlook, Word, & Excel; Detail Oriented; Excellent Communication Skills (Verbal & Written); Excellent Customer Service Skills; Ability to Work in Group Setting with Minimal Supervision; Motivated Self-starter; Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
