Staff Accountant
Summary of Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility for the Staff Accountant is to provide high-level support to the Finance team as well as the individual Business Units. This position will be heavily involved in data consolidation using a variety of different tools/software. Individuals must exemplify Singer Industrial standards and best accounting practices.

Job Duties Include:
  • Work with Corporate Controller and the entire Finance Team to learn and understand all aspects of the financial process.
  • Prepare and Distribute Daily Sales and Bookings Report
  • Work with Regional Controllers and individual Business Units (B/U’s) on a variety of topics
  • Manage and Maintain Financial Consolidation Tool (Tagetik)
    • Load Monthly GL Trial Balances into Tagetik received from Individual B/U’s
    • Update consolidated reports and distribute to Management for review
    • Load annual budgets
    • Create new entities upon acquisition
    • Maintain existing entities as needed
      • Adding Regions/Branches etc
  • Administer Avalara Sales Tax
  • Manage Prepaid Expenses
  • Manage Fixed Assets
  • Assist with posting monthly journal entries.
  • Work closely with others in the Finance Department to support them as needed.
  • Participate in Annual Audits conducted by a third party.

Skills/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Related Previous Accounting Work Experience; Excellent Understanding of GAAP; Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills; Strong Computer Skills Utilizing MS Office Products, specifically Excel and Access as well as Data consolidation tools; Excellent Communication Skills (written & verbal); Highly Organized and Detail-Oriented; Able to Work in a Group Setting or Without Supervision.
