You can access the Mesabi Trail and bicycle over 50 miles of paved trail to the Iron Range. Mt Itasca Winter Recreation Area is located just 5 minutes east of Grand Rapids in Coleraine. They provide downhill skiing, snowboarding, snowtubing, cross country skiing, fat-tire biking and snowshoeing opportunities. The Northern Lights Nordic Ski Club grooms over 179 KM cross country ski trails in Itasca County.
